A typical day

Every day is different down at the Muddy Fork Garden. Activities can vary, projects can change, but there is always something to be done. To give you an idea of the structure of the day, please take a look below.

10am

Meet at the Hub

We meet in our Hub at the Muddy For Garden. We start off by having a drink and chat about what we’ll do today.

10.30am

Get Started

We always work at our own individual pace, keeping it fun, but everything we do is useful and either contributes to the garden or the local community, raising essential funds to keep us going.

12pm

Lunch

Take a well earned rest and enjoy your lunch in the garden, in our Hub or outdoor workshop. Most people bring their own lunch with them, although some like to purchase something tasty from the Idle Valley Café.

1pm

Resume Activities

We may carry on the same tasks that we started before lunch, or, if you’d prefer, you can choose a different task for the afternoon. Sometimes, we may all choose to go for a stroll around the nature reserve.

2.30pm

Pack Up

We’ll get together to have a chat about what we have done that day and what still needs doing. Importantly, we’ll check how it went for everyone and maybe suggest ideas for future sessions.
